Precious Felder Gates, Attorney and Managing Owner

The Founder and Managing Owner of FAM Legal is an Atlanta native who founded the firm to provide effective, high-quality legal counsel that would achieve the unique objectives of each individual type of client. Clients often want close contact with their lawyer. Attorney Felder prides herself on being an attentive listener and providing consistent communication to her clients. She works closely with her clients in developing practical solutions to ensure the best possible outcome for their case.

Attorney Felder received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia State University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. After working for a small boutique civil litigation firm, Attorney Felder started FAM Legal immediately out of law school. Attorney Felder has represented a variety of clients in the areas of family law and entertainment. Attorney Felder provides passionate representation, assisting families dealing with the stresses of separation and divorce. She is an experienced litigator, and in 2015, established her first multimillion-dollar jury verdict. For her entertainment clients, she has negotiated six-figure deals in both music and TV/film. She is passionate for all of her clients and provides aggressive, zealous advocacy to obtain her client’s full satisfaction.

Attorney Felder is a member of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and the Gate City Bar Association. Attorney Felder is admitted to practice before the Georgia state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

In her free time, she enjoys live music, having been a member of the orchestra in college playing the bassoon. She is the mother of two beautiful girls and devotes her life to her family. Attorney Felder prides herself on being personable and relatable to all of her clients.

Brieonna Wilcox, Associate Attorney

Brieonna Wilcox is a metro Atlanta native. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in sociology from Georgia State University. Upon completion, she furthered her education by receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Howard University School of Law. Brieonna joined the firm as an intern in 2019. After graduating law school, she progressed her career in the areas of intellectual property and complex business transactions. Brieonna maintained her relationship with the firm, providing paralegal services. Brieonna is an Associate Attorney and currently assists with divorce, child custody, paternity and post-judgment matters.

Brieonna is admitted to practice in the Georgia Superior Court, Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court.She enjoys running, tennis, watching horror films, and trying new restaurants in her free time.

Victoria Williams, Associate Attorney

Victoria, originally from Marietta, Georgia received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.

Victoria has legal experience in both Family and Entertainment law. She has prior experience working as a Paralegal before becoming an attorney.

She is a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women’s Attorneys, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association and is certified before the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.

In her free time, she enjoys fitness, dancing, music and investing in cryptocurrency.

Shawnita Goosby, Associate Attorney

Meet Shawnita, or “Nita,” a dedicated and experienced licensed attorney for the state of Georgia. Growing up as an Army brat, she lived in several states before her family settled in Columbus, Georgia. Shawnita earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Albany State University, her Master’s in Criminal Justice from Troy University, and her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center (Louisiana) in 2020. Following receiving her Law Degree, she returned home to Columbus, Georgia. In July of 2021 she sat and passed Georgia’s July 2021 Bar Exam and was licensed to practice law in November of the same year.

Shawnita has a broad range of legal experience, including her work as a solo practitioner primarily focused on family law, as well as serving as the sole domestic of counsel attorney for a boutique law firm based in Columbus, Georgia. She also served as the Municipal Court Public Defender in Muscogee County. With her exceptional legal education and experience, she has established herself as a trusted legal professional committed to providing exceptional service to her clients. Her passion for the law and unwavering dedication to her clients are a testament to her commitment to her profession. She is licensed to practice in all Georgia courts, including the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia. Shawnita is a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar.

When not practicing law, Shawnita enjoys spending time with her family and three beautiful children. She is an avid reader and enjoys writing. She also loves cooking and live music shows, and enjoys shopping.

Taylor Harris, Legal Billing Specialist

Taylor has an extensive background in customer care, business relations and managing accounts. She has accomplished her education in Business and Accounting from Georgia Highlands College. Ms. Harris ensures the growth of the firm by interacting with personnel and clients in all levels of the organization in a tactful, cooperative and professional manner.

She assists the firm with generating detailed invoicing, maintaining client billing records, accounts, payment history and related arrangements. She embraces the diversity and conveys an outstanding client service approach for both external and internal clients.

Crystal Thompson, Paralegal

Crystal is a detailed-oriented Paralegal who applies excellent writing skills in drafting briefs, legal memorandums,

motions and correspondence. She conducts all legal business professionally and with little guidance from attorneys or supervisors. Crystal is an extremely organized Paralegal that can manage caseloads with authority and advanced skill. She is capable of collaborating with a diverse range of legal personnel including associates, partners, and legal secretaries. Crystal regularly assists clients with case management and the completion of discovery. She is an integral part of the litigation process and communicates with clients regularly.

Crystal attended Valdosta State University, with a degree in Political Science. She then attended University of Georgia where she received her Paralegal Certificate.

LaTesha Roberts, Intake and Client Relations Manager

LaTesha Roberts, originally from Houston, Texas, moved to Georgia in 2020. LaTesha has prior professional legal experience to include office management and law office administration. She also has prior experience as a Verbatim Hearing Recorder for the federal court. She joined our team as a Legal Secretary to assist the firm with practice management, scheduling and file organization and maintenance. After a year with the firm, she became one of the clients’ favorite liaisons, promoting her to Intake and Client Relations Manager. She is dedicated to her role and provides a positive, contagious energy as the firm’s introduction, managing all new client conversions and loyalty marketing.

When she is not assisting the firm, she is busy being a full-time mom, who enjoys bowling and watching horror movies.

Katherine Guevara, Legal Assistant

Katherine was born in El Salvador, but moved to the Atlanta Metropolitan area in 2003. She Graduated from Osborne High school in 2018 and began her career in the financial services industry before making a switch to the legal industry in 2021.

She is Fluent in English and Spanish and is currently pursuing her Associates degree in Paralegal Studies.

Prior to joining the firm she worked as a paralegal and an interpreter for a boutique criminal defense firm in Marietta, GA, where she discovered her passion for law and helping those in need.

When she is not at work, Katherine enjoys photography, fashion, and fitness. She was the 1st runner up at a national pageant in 2022 where she represented her home country, El Salvador. Katherine is proud of her roots and hopes to make a difference in the Latino community through her work in the legal industry.
